Under an angle

Most of my artworks are painted under an angle. Without that, it would be impossible to create those flowing, circular shapes, our bodies simply don’t allow it. They often border an impossibility and play on the edge of human reason.  I love changing perspective; this painting defies gravity in every possible way. It’s a place to immerse yourself in, a place where there is always something new to discover.

This artwork began as round as round can be, like a rising full moon. Its circular form is expansive and wide. It seems almost perfectly round, but it isn’t. It is shaped at an angle, which changes its perspective and sets its form in motion, suggesting an ongoing process. The meeting point is soft and subtle like a gentle embrace.

Almost liberated from gravity

Belonging to the serie mesmerizing the colour effect is really optical. What happens to a painting when you can walk around it? Discover it from all sides? It is almost liberated from gravity? How close can we get to being liberated, that is what this painting is about. The glass is almost liberated from the standard as well.
