Equality explores the interplay between two lines that meet on equal terms, grounded in asense of balanced equilibrium. Their interaction creates a strong spatial presence, as if the lines are gently moving (almost dancing) around one another out of subtlety. They exist in liberation. It’s a strongly philosophical piece which is deeply layered. Would it solve a lot if we would consider ourselves as equals?
This painting is part of the ‘Interconnected’ series. This artwork is available with two different background layer colours (acrylate). A deeper moss green, which gives the painting a certain warmth, while the emerald green creates a softer atmosphere and a completely different interplay between reflection and light. You can use the backgrounds or choose not to, depending on the space they will join.
