Meeting ultraviolet

Painted on anti-reflective glass the colours are soft and bright. This painting can stand in a standard, or you can frame it with a white background. The experience of the painting is different. You can see the colours reflecting on the side of the glass, which gives the painting an extra dimension. Its form is open and contributes to colour experience. Can you meet the ultraviolet colours? Arranged from stronger at the bottom and softer at the top.

The noctilucent clouds

A reflection of the noctilucent clouds, rarely visable around june in the Dutch air/clouds. Standing really low at the horizon, just like this round shape. The wide scale of colours of the noctilucent clouds are showcased in this painting and can be discovered around the artwork. This painting is painted on anti-reflective glass and can be shown in different ways. When it’s showcased as an object, you can take a closer look at the sides of the glass, where you can find it’s colour reflecting. It works continually with the light. It’s an artwork to experience. You can also play with a white background and frame it. The effect of the painting is completely different, but no less interesting becoming softer at its corners.

Eternal sunshine

One of the first paintings on satin glass. It is based on the spring sun, stronger then the wintersun, still wide and standing low at the horizon. It is touching the standard but still liberated for a bit. It’s round shape suggests an ongoing process.

When it enters your home, you will have eternal sunshine. Because even in the winter days, the painting still gives you some strong, bright and soft colours. The colours start playing around with the day/sunlight throughout the year. A continuous play with the changing light around.

Integrated in the standard you will find Lightning. Which makes the experience of eternal sunshine complete. Also at night.

The wintersun

The wintersun is standing low, near to the horizon. This painting is as well, emerging from the stand. It is painted on anti-reflective glass with Neo pastel. Visible from both sides. It is continually playing with the light, even at night. The reflection of the colours is visible in the side of the glass, which gives it an extra dimension.

Emerging winter sun

The emerging winter sun is the second painting in a series painted on anti-reflective glass. The effect of painting on the glass is different, the colours a bit translucent and milky at the same time. Due to that the colours get elevated and become a bit 3D because of the thickness of the glass. The white background gives a little space and elevates the 3D effect. Every day is different because of the light, and the painting plays with that, so the effect of the painting is different with all kinds of light.

A milkyness in the sky

A milkyness in the sky, is painted on milky glass. As per accident received, the effect of the colours on the glass was different, not as expected. The painting reflects the milky sun appearing mostly in autumn (in the Netherlands). It’s layers still visible. A warmth and dept to travel to, to look out for in the sky. The painting consists of two layers; the milky glass and the white background. Due to that the painting gets it’s spatial effect and the layers are even more visible. Check out the painting in real life and discover it’s effect by yourself.
