The wintersun is standing low, near to the horizon. This painting is as well, emerging from the stand. It is painted on anti-reflective glass with Neo pastel. Visible from both sides. It is continually playing with the light, even at night. The reflection of the colours is visible in the side of the glass, which gives it an extra dimension.

The emerging winter sun is the second painting in a series painted on anti-reflective glass. The effect of painting on the glass is different, the colours a bit translucent and milky at the same time. Due to that the colours get elevated and become a bit 3D because of the thickness of the glass. The white background gives a little space and elevates the 3D effect. Every day is different because of the light, and the painting plays with that, so the effect of the painting is different with all kinds of light.

Painted on anti-reflective glass, the effect of the colours is different. They are a bit translucent and due to that the colours get lifted….their true colours appear and the colour backgrounds are visible.

A milkyness in the sky, is painted on milky glass. As per accident received, the effect of the colours on the glass was different, not as expected. The painting reflects the milky sun appearing mostly in autumn (in the Netherlands). It’s layers still visible. A warmth and dept to travel to, to look out for in the sky. The painting consists of two layers; the milky glass and the white background. Due to that the painting gets it’s spatial effect and the layers are even more visible. The composer and the dancer… two paintings combined as being one. They work together, loose from gravity, playing and dancing. We framed the painting like that as well, so the glass is still movable and the composition can differ constantly. The colours get reflected on the side of the glass, the effect visible on different sides.
