A milkyness in the sky

A milkyness in the sky, is painted on milky glass. As per accident received, the effect of the colours on the glass was different, not as expected. The painting reflects the milky sun appearing mostly in autumn (in the Netherlands). It’s layers still visible. A warmth and dept to travel to, to look out for in the sky. The painting consists of two layers; the milky glass and the white background. Due to that the painting gets it’s spatial effect and the layers are even more visible. The composer and the dancer

The composer and the dancer… two paintings combined as being one. They work together, loose from gravity, playing and dancing. We framed the painting like that as well, so the glass is still movable and the composition can differ constantly. The colours get reflected on the side of the glass, the effect visible on different sides.

Colours of nature

The series ‘colours of nature’ is inspired by colours that surround is in nature. From the brightness of flowers to the colours of ‘de Wadden’, a Dutch sea that falls dry at low tide. They are painted on untreated, pure linen. Prepered to be painted on but their structures still visible. Each one is uniquely painted in a different season, or with a different effect. They are following the rythem of nature, showing their strength of colours or just their fragility. Looking at their colours from real upclose and enlarging them the effect is different.
